Account Spotlight: E.W. Scripps School of Journalism

ImPRessions is lucky to have a top-ranked journalism school as a client.  The E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University is nationally ranked and dedicated to developing free-thinking, critically analyzing journalists who are dedicated to the search for truth. The account’s goal is to help increase the number of applicants to the journalism school by using social media and blogging.

The Scripps Account has hit the ground running, improving all social media outlets, working directly with professors and conducting interviews for the J School webpage with Scripps alumni. “So far this year our account has been doing a great job with social media, especially Twitter. I believe @scrippsjschool has over 2,800 followers now. That’s about an additional 300-400 followers since spring quarter ended,” Account Executive William Hartman said.

Account Associates describe the account as a close group of friends who enjoy the hands on work it requires.  “I’ve learned a lot about social media and how to keep a professional image online through managing the Scripps Facebook, Twitter and blog,” sophomore Kerry Tuttle, Account Associate, said.

Looking into the future, the account is in the process of making a promotional video for Scripps that will be finalized by finals week fall semester. Hartman explained that this video is their big project for the semester and will also make a new one next semester.

We are all impressed by the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism ImPRessions Account.  Congratulations to all they have accomplished.
