Athens County Humane Society: The Athens County Humane Society (ACHS) is a local nonprofit organization that strives to better the lives of animals throughout the Athens area. The ACHS works tirelessly to find caring homes for animals and to reduce the rate of abandonment and euthanasia of healthy animals. The organization is run entirely by donations and memberships and is 100 percent staffed by volunteers. The ACHS offers spay and neuter programs, adoption services, foster care, a lost and found list and other services meant to save animals in need in Athens County.

AVW Productions: AVW Productions is a completely student-run media production house in Athens. They currently produce a number of shows ranging from sports to news to minority issues. Students take on responsibilities such as producing, acting talent, filming and editing and more.

Backdrop Magazine: Backdrop is the only student-run print magazine on the Ohio University campus, and it focuses on stories affecting the Athens community. Once a quarter, members publish a new edition covering college life, style, culture and various other topics. The students write, edit, design and publish everything between the covers.

Bird Ice Arena: Ohio University’s Bird Ice Arena is an indoor ice facility that includes recreational skating, Learn to Play Hockey, Athens Youth Hockey Association, academic classes, intramural broomball, recreational hockey, learn to skate programs, figure skating, birthday parties, and private rentals. The facility is open from early October to March and available to university students, faculty/staff, alumni, and community.

Cardinal Health: Cardinal Health is a health care company specializing in health care supply chain services as well as the manufacturing of medical and surgical products. Based in Dublin, Ohio, Cardinal Health is 19th on the Fortune 500.

College Book Store: College Book Store is a locally owned bookstore that has been serving Ohio University since 1952. College Book Store provides shoppers with the convenience of purchasing books, apparel and school supplies within walking-distance of campus.

Copperheads: The Southern Ohio Copperheads baseball organization is a minor league team based in Athens, Ohio. They are a part of the Great Lakes League.

College Green Magazine: College Green is an online publication that provides an in depth look into environmental issues facing Southeast Ohio. The name represents the strive to bring the on-campus and off-campus communities in Athens together.

E.W. Scripps School of Journalism: The E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University is ranked among the top journalism schools in the United States. It offers six undergraduate sequences and is dedicated to developing free-thinking, critically analyzing journalists who are dedicated to the search for truth.

Express: Express is an American fashion retailer headquartered in Columbus, Ohio and New York, New York. It operates more than 550 stores in the United States with clothing lines for jeans, shirts, tops, dresses and accessories for women and men.

GoBus: Hocking Athens Perry Community Action’s GoBus is a non profit community based organization. The GoBus is a new federally funded transportation service that offers transportation from Athens to Cincinnati and Columbus with stops in between for only $10.

The House: The House, opened in August 2012, is the nation’s only collegiate Under Armour store. It is owned and operated by College Book Store in co-operation with Under Armour’s collegiate division and has Ohio University logos and colors on dozens of products.

ImPRessions: This account is responsible for publicizing the firm’s efforts as well as maintaining internal communications between the various accounts and members.

J. Warren McClure School of Information and Telecommunication Systems: The McClure School is part of the Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University. Offering an impressive program for undergraduates and graduates, the program works with employers to give students professional experience in every way.

OHIO ROTC (Army & Air Force): OHIO’s Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) is designed to produce quality military officers for the United States Air Force and Army. It is designed as a college elective that focuses on leadership development, problem solving, strategic planning, and professional ethics.

Student Senate: Student Senate is the unicameral student government of Ohio University. Senators represent all students and advocate the student opinion to administrators through legislation and as members of university communities.
