The Athens Conservancy is a non-profit organization of a type known as a land trust. Their mission is to protect open-space lands in Athens County, Ohio and surrounding counties. ImPRessions started their largest fundraising event, Zombie Run, which is a 5K Halloween race. This year the account is hoping to have the race at The Ridges. They will also be starting an Instagram and an Ohio University student chapter of the Conservancy.
The Athens County Humane Society is a non-profit organization committed to promoting better care and compassion for animals and reducing abandonment and euthanasia of healthy animals by providing spay and neuter assistance and education. ImPRessions started their annual fundraiser, Woof & Wine, which is a wine tasting event on Ohio University’s Mom’s Weekend. This year the account will focus on creating and implementing fun and furry “Cat of the Week” posts in hopes of increasing cat adoption in Athens.
AVW Productions is a student-run video production organization. AVW is able to produce eight different shows, each with their own unique voice and atmosphere. This year the account will work to build a cohesive bond between each AVW-operated program that allows them to maintain their own individuality, while also reflecting the mission of the production group as a whole.
Black Sheep Improv is a student-run improvisation group at Ohio University that performs every Thursday at 9pm at Baker. This is the second year ImPRessions will be working Black Sheep. This year the account will work with event planning, promotions, social media and design.
Burr Oak Getaways is a tourist destination offering private cabin/cottage rentals, hiking, kayaking and paddle boarding near Burr Oak State Park and the surrounding communities of Morgan, Athens and Perry Counties. This is the first year ImPRessions is working with this client. This account will work to spread awareness of Burr Oak Getaways to the Athens Community through events and social media.
College Book Store is an independent bookstore proudly serving Ohio University exclusively since 1952. They are proud to be a local company, run from the ground up right here in Athens, Ohio. This account promotes the major weekend events that College Book Store holds with a percentage of the proceeds going to charity organizations.
The Copperheads are Southern Ohio’s Great Lakes Collegiate Summer League team. The team is comprised of college-level athletes from across the country. The Copperheads offer a professional-style experience in Southeastern Ohio for players and fans. This year the account plans to continue hosting popular community events, to reach a wider audience and to work closely with the media staff to build up social media presence.
FANGLE Magazine is a print and weekly online magazine on the Athens campus, produced by Ohio University students for the Ohio University and Athens community. This year the account will work in marketing and promotion, fundraising and event planning and content creation for the magazine’s social media accounts.
Go Bus is a bus system that provides transportation between non-urbanized and urbanized areas. The account will be assisting GoBus’s expansion by reaching out to student publications at multiple Ohio college campuses in addition to OU. The GoBus account will engage with the OU student body on social media through the Twitter and Instagram campaigns.
The Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) is a professional organization for anyone admitted into the practice of law. This is ImPRessions first year working with this account. The account is responsible for reviewing ohiolawstudents.com, a website created by OSBA as a resource for future, current and post-grad law students. The account works on gathering feedback and suggestions on the design, structuring and content of the website, as well as identifying competition.
Prescribe Change is a campaign to inform the public on facts about prescription drug abuse in the Lancaster, Ohio area. This year the account will implement the projects that have been planned in the previous two years, including a billboard message and message on Lancaster public transit buses, in addition to continuing to build social media presence.
The E.W. Scripps School of Journalism is part of the Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University and accredited by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. This year the account will work with video editing and design software, learn branding techniques and plan exciting events.
