Working with a team of seven, the account has been fundraising, preparing and planning for their upcoming Reader Appreciation party. “To fundraise, we planned events like coffee sales and trash-for-cash on campus. We promoted social media and campus outreach, and we also had to find a venue that could work with our budget for the party,” Foy said.
The account has powered over a few hurdles throughout the year while booking venues for their event. However, nothing stopped them. They have also done some brief advertising around election season. College Green created a “Green Voters Guide” and asked the ImPRessions account to promote it. Account Associates have found this account to be helpful in expanding their professional development.
“Working on the College Green Magazine account has given me lots of experience in working with social media. I run the Twitter account and post anything and everything from what’s new in environmental news to where our fundraisers and events are held,” freshman Gina Rossi said.
